Breadboards are readily available in the electronics market. You can easily procure your required board from the electronics spare parts shop in the electronics bazaars. Breadboards are available in different sizes, shapes and colours.
Number of connector holes in the boards vary with different size boards. Smaller board contains minimum number of connector holes and may or may not have power bus. However larger boards have two or four rows of power buses with maximum number of connector holes with the facilities of extension of power buses.
The flexibility of hooking up components are far more easier in these types of boards than smaller boards. Also the cost part determines the additional facilities. They are sturdy and durable for longer use.
Select a suitable board:
You must know your exact requirement before purchasing one. A smaller size board is very much suitable for simple electronic circuit designs, where a fewer simple components can easily accomodate for hookup and yet cost effective. If your circuit design is somewhat complicated and using ICs and vital components, medium size or bigger size boards are absolutely required.
Hence decide the requirement beforehand in procuring a small board for smaller circuit and a bigger board for complex circuit designs. Boards are available in square type and rectangular type. In some design boards two or three boards can be attached to oneanother and make a bigger size board.
