No soldering, yet it is connected!

Ease of plug in and hook up:

Metallic clip
The ease of plug in and plug out the component terminals and jumpers make the circuit building easier, quicker and safer on breadboard. The terminals of the components  and connectors like jumpers can be easily inserted in the appropriate holes. The clip  type of arrangement hold the terminals and connectors snugly and at the same time makes necessary electrical contacts through the metallic strip attached to the clip. Making contacts as well as holding the components upright are the simultaneous action and as such the components do not fall from the holes. It snugly sits in the holes. Thus a firm assembly set up is made and components are hooked up smartly.

No soldering:

Absolutely no soldering is required! As such it is called solderless breadboard. No need to solder the component terminals to make joints. The metallic strips makes necessary electrical connectivity to the components as per the circuit schematic. Thus it eliminates the cumbersome procedure of soldering and unnecessary heating of the the components and other connectors with molten 'lead'. Hence everything is safe, risk free and quick. As such no mess work is visible. No power is required in the hookup procedure of components. Damages (may happen when soldering) to the components are thus averted. As the components are saved from the heat while soldering, the sensitive components are saved from damage.  Safe guarded from bad mutilation and twisting, the sensitive components can be saved from breaking. Very convenient to students, teachers and hobbyists for its versatality. Actually students love breadboard assembling for their experiments.

Reuse many times:

Components can be used again and again in different circuit schematic provided the circuit design warrants that type. This is the greatest advantage of saving money in procuring fresh components each time for each circuit and thus wastage is avoided. hence it is cost effective, isn't it?

Dismantle and reassemble :

If you want you can easily dismantle the circuit assembly and reassemble it with ease. The components can be easily unplugged from a particular hole and plug it into another appropriate hole easily. Plug in and plug out are the common actions that can be seen in the assembling of the circuit.  You can reuse the components without  any damage and hence it is cost effective and economical also.

versatality:

You can build thousands of circuits, quickly through the breadboard hookup method. You can test, modify, study, evaluate and develop successful and efficient circuit designs. Highly beneficial in R&D work, where proto types are built.

Testing and studying:

You can connect test equipments in between the circuits easily for testing and for evaluation of the performance of the circuit.  You can study the function of the circuit under various circumstances when component vaues are changed. Testing of components and designing are the great advantages of breadboard assembling. It has been a proven technique that successful assemblies are achieved for great circuit designs. It is more or less a fun.
